Taylor Swift married Travis Kelce at Madison Square Garden on Friday (July 3) in a custom Dior Haute Couture gown, and four days later the man who made it is finally talking. “It was a joy to work with her. We became very good friends,” Jonathan Anderson told WWD, in a quote Hello! carried. “It’s an emotional thing doing someone’s wedding.”
The first confirmation came from Swift’s side the night of the ceremony. Her publicist, Tree Paine, said in a release that “The bride and groom’s wedding ceremony looks have been created by Christian Dior Haute Couture. They are designed by Jonathan Anderson, Creative Director of Dior Women’s, Men’s and Haute Couture Collections, in close collaboration with the Bride and Groom.” The statement added that Swift’s shoes were custom Christian Louboutin and that she wore Cartier jewelry. Kelce’s look was a tailored Dior Haute Couture piece with custom Louboutin shoes, according to ARY News, and Dior said both outfits were made at its Avenue Montaigne ateliers in Paris.

The release also carried the line that matters for the house: “This is the designer’s first couture wedding dress for a world-renowned celebrity.” Anderson’s first bridal couture piece was for the supermodel Ming Xi earlier this year, Harper’s Bazaar India notes. He took over Dior’s women’s, men’s and couture collections in June 2025 after his years at Loewe, and Harper’s Bazaar India calls Swift’s choice a milestone for his tenure.
What nobody has seen is the dress. As of Anderson’s comments, Hello! reports, the couple had yet to share any official photos, and Harper’s Bazaar India says the silhouette, embellishments and fabric remain a mystery. That quiet is part of the story: in a season of front-row photographs, one of the summer’s biggest fashion moments arrived as a one-paragraph statement and a designer’s two sentences.
Anderson’s own week went on in public. On Monday, July 6, he showed Dior’s Fall 2026 Haute Couture collection in Paris, in a forest of petals and ferns, with Sabrina Carpenter and Ethel Cain in the front row, according to The Zoe Report. We’ve rounded up the whole week here.
