Music comes first: the releases, tours, charts, deals and moments everyone is talking about, from the biggest names to the underground artists the rest of the internet catches up with later. Around it we cover the culture music lives in, from style and film to art, the internet, festivals and the cities where it all happens.
How we report
Every story is written by our desks from the reporting and statements we link to, and every story lists its sources at the end. Quotes are reproduced exactly as they were said or published. Every photo is credited, and the full list lives on our image credits page.

Future Grails
Future Grails is our program for artists on the way up. Artists can send us a song, our editors listen to every submission, and the artists we pick get the same treatment as the biggest names on the site. How it works.
