Madonna wants her corset back. Three days after her surprise Coachella appearance with Sabrina Carpenter, the singer said the vintage pieces she wore have disappeared, and she is offering a reward for their safe return.

“Still flying high since Friday night at Coachella,” she wrote on Instagram Stories on Monday (April 20), thanking Carpenter and calling the return to the festival a thrill. Then came the turn: “This full circle moment hit different until I discovered that the vintage pieces that I wore went missing- my costume that was pulled from my personal archives - jacket, corset, dress and all other garments.”

The clothes were the point. Carpenter, wearing custom Dior, introduced Madonna during “Juno” with the move that leads into “Vogue,” and the two went on to “Like a Prayer,” according to Hello. Madonna told the crowd that 20 years to the day earlier she had played Coachella’s dance tent, the first time she performed Confessions on a Dance Floor in America. W Magazine said her all-purple look repeated the corset, boots and Gucci jacket from that 2006 set. The photo she shared shows a lilac lace corset with frills, a navy jacket and a hot-pink bustier, per Hello.

Madonna’s post made the stakes plain. “These aren’t just clothes, they are part of my history,” she wrote, adding that “other archival items from the same era went missing as well.” She asked anyone with information to contact her team, and said she was “offering a reward for their safe return.” She did not say what the reward is, according to ABC News.

It matters because the pieces were a deliberate callback. The sequel to her 2005 album, Confessions II, arrives July 3, PinkNews reported, and Carpenter appears on one of its tracks. Hello said the pair performed a snippet of it at Coachella.

Carpenter’s own wardrobe is accounted for. She wore five custom Dior outfits that weekend in new colorways from the first, with the red dress turned blue and the black lace bodysuit turned white, per W and Firstclasse. Our look at her Dior wardrobe covers both weekends.

For now, the only look at Madonna’s pieces is the photo she posted with her appeal.
