New York and London are the fashion weeks that fit around the music industry’s calendar, and this February both leaned in. A$AP Rocky showed his own collection in a former bank. A Burberry show closed London with a soundtrack by FKA twigs. And the front rows read like a festival lineup, from Lana Del Rey at Ralph Lauren to King Charles III, who showed up for a young British designer. Here are the shows that mattered, in order.
New York: A$AP Rocky brings AWGE home
AWGE, Rocky’s creative agency, held its third runway show and its first in New York, and it skipped the official schedule to do it. The venue was 49 Chambers, the former Emigrant Industrial Savings Bank, with backstage built in the middle of the room so models could stop mid-walk for touch-ups, Our Culture Mag reported. The theme was fatherhood. Models pushed baby carriages and wore baby carriers, and a sculptural stroller drew the most attention, per Harper’s Bazaar. “I thought it was cool to put men in positions of pushing strollers, baby carriers, and stuff like that,” Rocky told Vogue, as quoted by W. “I wanted to put it under a different scope, and show more urban people doing it, swagging it out.”

Rihanna, who shares three children with Rocky, sat front row in a fur-trimmed leather coat from the collection, which Harper’s Bazaar noted had been on a model minutes earlier. Electronic Ray-Ban sunglasses in the lineup flashed the name of his new album, Don’t Be Dumb. He took AWGE to Paris that September, as we reported.
New York: the front rows

Gigi Hadid opened Ralph Lauren’s Feb. 12 show, the eve of the official calendar, and Lana Del Rey, Anne Hathaway and Lili Reinhart watched from the front. Marc Jacobs, who showed two days before the week began, called his collection “Memory. Loss.” and mined his own past, including the grunge Perry Ellis collection that reportedly got him fired. The audience included Sofia Coppola and the R&B singer Monica. Coach’s front row held Omar Apollo, Elle Fanning and Odessa A’zion. Blackpink’s Jennie sat with Brooke Shields, who was attending her first runway show for Calvin Klein, and Post Malone turned up at Sandy Liang in Harlem on Sunday (Feb. 15) with a bottle of Bud Light, per W.
The week’s debuts were less starry but more important. Rachel Scott opened the official schedule at Proenza Schouler, and Wes Gordon sent artists and curators including Amy Sherald and Ming Smith down the runway at Carolina Herrera. New York closed on Feb. 16, Numéro noted.
London: a king, an anniversary and a night out
London Fashion Week started on Thursday, Feb. 19, with an unlikely guest: King Charles III sat in the front row for Tolu Coker, the British-Nigerian designer who was a 2025 LVMH Prize finalist, according to Numéro. Erdem marked 20 years by taking over Tate Britain, and Harris Reed showed baroque gowns with iridescent corsets.
Burberry closed the week on Feb. 23 with its most talked-about show. Daniel Lee built a deconstructed Tower Bridge inside Old Billingsgate, once London’s fish market, and called the season “pure street currency,” in the official notes quoted by The Zoe Report. The soundtrack came from FKA twigs. Shearling coats, ruffled trenches and leather bombers filled the runway, and Romeo Beckham and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley walked in it.

Kate Moss and her daughter Lila were in the front row with Alexa Chung, Jodie Turner-Smith and Olivia Dean, all in Burberry, The Zoe Report says. Dean had won Best New Artist at the Grammys three weeks earlier. Another disagreed with the show’s framing of Tower Bridge as glamour turned utilitarian. Its critic argued the collection was instead “about glamorising the utilitarian,” twisting the brand’s trench “into something different and new.”
Milan was next, and it started with a real debut. Maria Grazia Chiuri showed her first Fendi collection, and Demna followed with Gucci, in our Milan roundup.
