Megan Thee Stallion Gets Her Wings, and Tate McRae Debuts “Housewife,” at Victoria’s Secret’s L.A. Show

Megan Thee Stallion told fans to “Tune in on October 18 to see me get my wings,” as Marie Claire recalled, and on Sunday night she did: in sharp metallic silver ones, performing “Body” and “Her” at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. Reuters, via FashionNetwork, described a shimmering bra and shrug, silver heels and fishnets. Hip-Hop Vibe says she closed out the show.

The brand’s first Los Angeles show since 2007 took over Sony Pictures Studios in Culver City, WWD notes, after two years in New York. Executive creative director Adam Selman built the night around the calendar, with Pink, the brand’s younger sister line, in the middle as a halftime set.

The music got a palette each. Megan Moroney, who Reuters says made a dramatic entrance with a glittering guitar and oversized fuzzy pink wings, played “6 Months Later,” “Wish I Didn’t” and “Sorry… I Meant Tonight” from Cloud 9, per Just Jared. Tate McRae, in a red lingerie-inspired set, gave the first live performance of “Housewife,” the single whose video arrived Thursday, alongside “Dear God” and “Sports Car.” Gigi Hadid then joined her on the catwalk, and McRae got a pair of translucent red wings of her own, according to Men’s Journal.

KATSEYE came in through the audience, not the stage, and sang “Pinky Up” and “Animal” in the Pink segment, their labels HYBE and Geffen Records said, via the Korea JoongAng Daily. Pink’s brand president, Ali Dillon, had promised WWD a bigger production: “We have a bigger stage this year, but it’s the same fun kind of free spirit personality.”

Off the stage, Kylie Jenner made her Victoria’s Secret runway debut in the revived Fantasy Bra, a Jacob & Co. design built around a 75.54-carat yellow diamond. It is the first time the Fantasy Bra has been on the runway since Elsa Hosk wore it in 2018, Hypebeast reports, and Timothée Chalamet and Kris Jenner watched from the audience.

The storyline we flagged in our preview paid off too. The YouTube docuseries Angels Among Us had promised a new Angel live, and Solange Omon, 21, from Cameroon and now based in Maine, was revealed as the winner and walked the show, per Yahoo.
