Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl Look Was Custom Zara, and a Pakistani-American Label Says It Nearly Dressed Him

The head-to-toe cream outfit, with a No. 64 jersey top, came together in the final days, and FOUND says its hand-embroidered designs were rushed from Lahore before the plan changed.

Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl outfit almost came from Lahore. Faraz Zaidi, founder of the Pakistani-American label FOUND, said in an Instagram post on Tuesday (Feb. 10) that his team custom designed sets for the halftime show, only for the plan to change late. In the end the head-to-toe look was Zara, as Complex reported.

The Zara version, worn Sunday (Feb. 8) at Super Bowl LX, was cream from top to toe, with a collared shirt and tie under a jersey-style top that read No. 64. Complex learned that the number honors the Grammy winner’s late uncle, who played football in it. The look was styled by Storm Pablo and Marvin Douglas Linares, and Pablo thanked Bad Bunny’s creative director, Janthony Oliveras, and Zara in an Instagram Story, calling them “the real MVPs.” His dancers, band and orchestra members wore Zara as well, Complex reported.

Zara’s own reaction came Monday. “It was an amazing show,” a spokesperson told Complex. “Benito put on a memorable performance. What a great outfit! Acho, PR es otra cosa!” Elsewhere on his body, Complex noted an Audemars Piguet Royal Oak watch and a white version of his BadBo 1.0 shoe with Adidas. Harper’s Bazaar Malaysia says he swapped the jersey for a suit jacket to dance with Lady Gaga, who wore a blue flamenco gown by Luar, according to Elle.

The one that almost happened

Zaidi’s post is the new part. He wrote that FOUND designed sets that “almost made it to the Super Bowl stage,” with a press release written an hour before the game, hand embroidery in floral and bird patterns, beaded gloves and fur-trimmed hats. “A box was dhl rushed from Lahore, Pakistan to Santa Clara, California,” he said. Then the direction shifted. “Ultimately, Zara won the bid for the full look. Apparently, they’re fast. Faster than most,” he wrote.

Zaidi closed on a note of grace: “You take every shot you get. Some wins, some misses.” A hand-embroidered custom run lost the race to a fast-fashion label, and the result was a much-discussed style moment.

The next chapter of the outfit is already out. In May, Bad Bunny released a Zara collection called Benito Antonio, and the halftime show later drew about 20 times the audience of its Turning Point USA alternative.
