Sam Fender announced the biggest shows of his career by lighting the beacons of Gondor. The teaser video, posted on Instagram on Oct. 19, has Fender and his bandmates dressed as Lord of the Rings characters at St. James’ Park, with drone shots of the other venues and a return to the North Shields pub where he first played as a teenager, Billboard reports. Radio X says it was captioned:

The Proper Massive Stadium Tour opens June 3 with the first of two nights at Newcastle’s St. James’ Park, then plays Cardiff’s Principality Stadium on June 10 and Wembley Stadium on June 18 and 20, his biggest headline shows to date, per NME. Dublin’s Marlay Park (July 1), Edinburgh’s Murrayfield (July 8) and two nights at Manchester’s Etihad Stadium (July 15 and 17) follow. On July 3 he tops the bill at Belgium’s Rock Werchter, his first European festival headline and another slot for the 2027 festival circuit. Wunderhorse is supporting on every date except Dublin.

It is a big jump. Fender headlined three nights at St. James’ Park in 2025 and two in 2023, NME notes. His third album, People Watching, won the 2025 Mercury Prize, and Rolling Stone U.K. says he gave the entire £25,000 prize to the Music Venue Trust. Its Olivia Dean remix of “Rein Me In” became the longest-running U.K. No. 1 single of all time in August, at 23 non-consecutive weeks, passing a record Frankie Laine’s “I Believe” had held for 73 years, Billboard reports.

The schedule also leaves a window between Wembley and Dublin that overlaps Glastonbury (June 23–27), which NME and Rolling Stone U.K. both flag. Nothing is confirmed: NME says no 2027 headliners have been announced, and Glastonbury 2027 sold out in 42 minutes without a lineup.

His fourth album still has no title or date. A presale opens Oct. 28 at 9:30 a.m. GMT, with access tied to an offer for that album in his online store that closes at 9 a.m. GMT on Oct. 26. General sale opens at 9:30 a.m. GMT on Oct. 30.
