Glastonbury sold out with a blank poster, but the rest of next year’s calendar is filling in fast. In the past four weeks, four festivals across two hemispheres have shown their first names. Read them side by side and a pattern shows up: a small group of acts is about to spend a year being everyone’s second or third booking.

Roskilde, June 26 to July 3

Denmark’s non-profit festival marks its 55th edition with Tame Impala, Caroline Polachek and the Patti Smith Quartet in its first wave of 18 acts, NME reports. Kacey Musgraves, Ezra Collective, Suki Waterhouse and the Lambrini Girls are also in, and almost 200 acts will eventually make the bill.

There is pop, hyperpop, rock, metal, punk, hip-hop and jazz, and both compelling new voices and major names such as Tame Impala, who are playing only a handful of European festivals this summer.

Tame Impala won’t be hard to find next summer. Kevin Parker’s band also has a three-night run at London’s O2 on June 1 to 3, with Wet Leg supporting, and Parker has won a Grammy for “End of Summer,” from Deadbeat.

Rock am Ring and Rock im Park, June 4 to 6

The twin German festivals run on the same weekend, at the Nürburgring and Nuremberg’s Zeppelin Field, with the same acts playing each site on different days. The 2027 lineup is a heavy-music crossover: Blink-182 top Friday, with The Prodigy as special guests; Turnstile and Faith No More headline Saturday; Bring Me the Horizon close Sunday with Parkway Drive and Evanescence. Blink-182’s slot was already confirmed in June as their first live shows of 2027.

Open’er, June 30 to July 3

Poland’s seaside festival in Gdynia added the Chemical Brothers, Ellie Goulding, ADÉLA, 5 Seconds of Summer and Underscores this week, per NME. The Chemical Brothers play the main stage on July 1, exactly 25 years after they headlined the first Open’er in 2002. They join Tame Impala, sombr, The Neighbourhood, RAYE and the Patti Smith Quartet, all announced earlier. It’s a good year for the duo to be booked: “Go,” a 2015 single, jumped 429 percent in streams after its prominent use in the Netflix film Apex and returned to the U.K. Top 10, and Tom Rowlands has a new project with AURORA, TOMORA, whose Celebration EP is due Oct. 16.

Laneway, February 12 to 21

The southern summer’s answer, now in its 22nd edition, is led by Fontaines D.C. and The Hayley Williams Show, with Slayyyter, ADÉLA, Kim Petras, MUNA, Ninajirachi and Rico Nasty beneath them, Billboard reports. It plays Sydney on Feb. 12, Brisbane on Feb. 13, Melbourne on Feb. 19 and Auckland on Feb. 21. The Perth and Adelaide shows have been scaled back to sideshows. The festival began in 2005 as a one-day event in Melbourne, and it has a reputation for booking acts just before they break: Billie Eilish, Charli xcx, Mitski and Tame Impala all played early-career Laneway sets.

Who’s everywhere

Cross-check the new bills against the ones already out, and the same acts keep turning up:

**ADÉLA** is on four of them: Primavera Sound, Open’er, Laneway and Lollapalooza Chile.

**Tame Impala** and the **Patti Smith Quartet** are both booked at Roskilde and Open’er.

**The Chemical Brothers** play Primavera and Open’er. **Caroline Polachek** plays Primavera and Roskilde. **Underscores** is on Primavera’s bill and Open’er’s.

**Fontaines D.C.** and **Hayley Williams** headline Laneway and sit near the top of Primavera’s poster. **Turnstile** play Primavera and Rock am Ring.

**Slayyyter** is on Laneway’s bill and on Lollapalooza Chile’s.

A bill is only a snapshot, and a first wave is never the whole story. But if a name you love is on any of these posters, check the others: the overlap is where next summer’s tours are likely to meet.

Glastonbury’s three Pyramid Stage slots are the big unknown. Everything above fills in around them.
