Glastonbury 2027 Sold Out in 42 Minutes, and Emily Eavis Still Isn’t Naming Headliners

Glastonbury 2027 now has a sold-out sign and no headliners. General admission went on sale at 9 a.m. on Sunday (Oct. 4), and at 9:42 a.m. See Tickets announced that the whole allocation was gone, NME reports.

The wait was the story. Instead of a numbered place in line, buyers got a row of blocks that slowly turned green, and plenty of them stayed stubbornly still. One Reddit user called it “2 bars of hell”; another joked, “Well, maybe the real Glastonbury tickets were the 2 bars we met along the way.” At 9:26 a.m. the queue page said more than half the tickets had already sold.

For scale, general tickets for 2025 sold out in 35 minutes, and this year’s coach packages went in under 30 minutes on Thursday (Oct. 1). Anyone who missed out gets another shot in a spring 2027 resale of returned and unpaid tickets. The festival runs June 23 to 27 at Worthy Farm, its first edition since the fallow year in 2026.

Who’s playing?

Nobody is saying. Emily Eavis confirmed in August that all three Pyramid Stage headliners are booked, but none has been announced. She has shut down two rumors. Asked about Madonna, she said, “No, it’s definitely not Madonna, I’ll tell you that.” When a follower commented “Please say you’ve got Oasis” under the festival’s ticket announcement, she replied, “Sorry Jimmy, not this time!” Oasis’ Manchester stadium run ends Saturday, June 26, which is why fans spotted a gap on the Sunday.

The bookmakers’ early favorites are Sam Fender, Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift, Rihanna and Little Simz. Harry Styles, Radiohead, Muse, the Rolling Stones and Fontaines D.C. have also come up. Styles’ newly announced 2027 tour dates leave that weekend free, and Fontaines have Friday, June 25 open before two shows at Slane Castle. Ronnie Wood told NME this week the Stones would play Glastonbury “in the drop of a hat,” though he didn’t know whether his bandmates agreed. Robbie Williams has booked outdoor shows for the week after, which has fed talk of a Sunday Legends slot.

The last edition, in 2025, was headlined by The 1975, Neil Young and Olivia Rodrigo, with Charli xcx, Doechii, RAYE, Kneecap and Pulp lower down. Primavera Sound has already shown its hand for 2027, with Doechii and Phoebe Bridgers on top. The first Glastonbury poster usually lands in the spring, though some headliners, Elton John in 2023 among them, have been announced earlier.
