Megan Thee Stallion opened her newest freestyle with Fred Durst. “Thin Ice,” the third entry in her Tina Tuesday Freestyle series, arrived Tuesday (Oct. 20) built on a sample of Limp Bizkit’s “Break Stuff,” Billboard reports.
So what is it, exactly? Billboard says producer Buddah Bless lifted the nu-metal song from the band’s 1999 album Significant Other, and the freestyle kicks off with Durst’s slowed-down vocals before the beat drops. Nu Metal Agenda hears it as bookends: two lines from the original frame the track. Billboard prints the first like this:
I think you better quit talkin’ that s–t / It’s all about the he says, she says bulls–t

Megan answers the sample the way you’d hope: confident, loud and in on the joke. In Billboard’s description she stunts in platinum hair and black clothes around a barren warehouse, and raps “they call me Tina Montana / I come in the club it’s snowing.” HotNewHipHop goes further, calling it perhaps her best freestyle so far and hearing some of her “hungriest flows” yet.
I’m Black and I’m proud / The skin James Brown / The body is smoking, no Black and Mild / I need me a girlfriend like Toni Childs

Her peers noticed. On Instagram, Billboard says, Kehlani wrote “YOU OUTTA CONTROL” and Juicy J added “Talk yo s–t verse killer!”

The freestyles are the opening act for Act III. They began with “Tina Tuesday Freestyle” on Sept. 29 and continued Oct. 6 with “Is You Cool?,” which she rapped in a blizzard, per Hip-Hop Vibe and Billboard. HotNewHipHop lists the album as MEGAN ACT III: HOUSE OF TINA and says a release date “still eludes us.” Her last album arrived in 2024 and debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 with 64,000 units, according to Luminate.
The timing is no accident. Megan made her runway debut at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show on Sunday (Oct. 18), two days before “Thin Ice.” Billboard’s report doesn’t include a response from Durst or Limp Bizkit. Her next appointment is Hottieween, the party she is bringing back to Zouk in Las Vegas on Oct. 30.
