Dragon Ball Super is starting over, and it wants you to find it on every streamer. Dragon Ball Super: Beerus premieres Sunday (Oct. 11) on Crunchyroll, with English subtitles in the U.S., Canada, Latin America, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, India, Southeast Asia and Europe. Hulu is also streaming it in the U.S. that day, and Netflix follows in the U.S. on Oct. 17 and is listing Oct. 14 in some other countries, Anime News Network reports.
It is not a new season. The staff bill Beerus as an “ENHANCED edition” of the 2015–18 series, rebuilt around the God of Destruction saga. The official announcement, as ANN quotes it, lists what changed:
extensive new cuts, revisions to existing scenes, a complete re-rendering of all footage, newly recorded dubbing with added score and sound effects, and a full reconstruction of the story.

The story is the one fans know: Beerus wakes from a long sleep, hears rumors of a Saiyan who defeated Frieza, and turns up in front of Goku. The late Akira Toriyama is credited with the original work, story and character designs, Anime Trending notes. Koichi Yamadera returns as Beerus and Masako Nozawa as Goku. Matsuto Seya handles composition and direction arrangement, and Tadayoshi Yamamuro is the character designer and general animation director.

The new songs are part of the pitch. Amazon Prime Video and U-NEXT carry it in Japan 30 minutes later.
Fans got an early look at New York Comic Con on Oct. 8, when a special panel screened episode one. Complex was in the room and called the project an enhanced edition of Super that focuses on the Beerus story. Watch the trailer below.
