A few weeks after the Knicks won their first championship in more than 50 years, Jordan Clarkson made his runway debut in Paris. He did it at Willy Chavarria’s Spring/Summer 2027 show on Friday (June 26), according to W Magazine, which says he flew in days after the parade. Complex called his look the week’s best celebrity moment: a Knicks-blue leather jacket over a white button-up, pink plaid boxer-style shorts, high white socks, brown loafers and a soft black bag. “Not a bad victory lap for the NBA vet,” it wrote.
The show itself, “Comunión,” was staged at Espace Niemeyer, the Oscar Niemeyer building that houses the French Communist Party’s headquarters. After January’s Fall/Winter 2026 production, which Complex described as a live performance piece, Chavarria went smaller: a modest room, no theatrics and a runway split evenly between men’s and women’s clothes. It opened with a calming meditation, Vanity Teen reported, and its first looks paired rosaries with bare chests and leather trousers to the sound of a string quartet. Michel Gaubert directed the music.
Complex named it the best collection of Paris men’s week, praising the billowing below-the-knee shorts, slouchy pinstriped suits and buttery leather jackets with the collars popped. The palette ran from Willy Red to Lilac, and the prints pulled from home: peeling kitchen walls, monogrammed handkerchiefs and pillowcase florals. The notes put the idea in a sentence: “Comunión is the belief that we are fuller together than apart.” The show also introduced the first chapter of Chavarria’s collaboration with UGG, three footwear styles that he called “my love letter to the outlaw in you.”
The cast read like the community the title promised. Along with Clarkson came Romeo Beckham, the designer Bella Freud and the Spanish singer Judeline, who made her modeling debut. The Mexican reggaeton rapper El Bogueto returned after walking in the last show, and the rapper SAINt JHN was in the audience. “I really spend a lot of time on how people feel,” Chavarria told Mezha in his Paris studio before the show.
It is the kind of show music fans notice because the front row and the runway overlap. Pharrell’s Louis Vuitton show three days earlier was the spectacle of the week, and Dior’s heat-wave show had the star guests, but the collection Complex picked as the best of the week was Chavarria’s.
