Pharrell Williams built a beach inside the Cité Internationale Universitaire de Paris on Tuesday (June 23), then used it to try out four songs nobody had heard. The Louis Vuitton Men’s Spring/Summer 2027 show opened with Quavo’s “Haavin,” moved through Lil Baby’s “Dead Fresh” and YoungBoy Never Broke Again’s “Simulation,” and closed on a version of Angélique Kidjo’s “Bando” with Williams and Quavo on it, according to Rolling Stone.
Everything was recorded at the Louis Vuitton Studio while the collection was being made. The orchestra, L’Orchestre du Pont Neuf, played live under conductor Thomas Roussel, with the Voices of Fire choir on vocals. Louis Vuitton’s own film of the show is below.
The songs are the story. Since Williams became the house’s men’s creative director in 2023, every Louis Vuitton show has doubled as a listening party, and in January he previewed tracks with A$AP Rocky, Pusha T, John Legend, Quavo and Jackson Wang at the Fall/Winter 2026 show. This time, Billboard notes that “Simulation” is the first record YoungBoy and Williams have made without a third artist, and “Dead Fresh” is Lil Baby’s first with him on his own. Quavo, who was in the room, has an album produced entirely by Williams in Paris on the way. He says he turned it in on May 26. (Complex lists Future, not Quavo, on “Haavin”; Rolling Stone and Billboard credit Quavo.)

The set did its job in the heat. Guests were greeted by a constructed wall of water and a small beach while Paris sweated through a heat wave, and Complex called it “one of the best we have seen from Pharrell at Louis Vuitton.” The clothes followed the theme: relaxed tailoring, multicolored knits, and board-short-inspired pants that Williams lengthened into trousers, a nod to the Virginia coast where he grew up.
The front row looked like a Pharrell session list. Future, Missy Elliott, Lil Baby, Coco Jones, Quavo, Skepta, Lola Young, Jeremy Allen White and Victor Wembanyama all sat in it. Complex singled out “Dead Fresh” as the strongest song, and added a note of caution: “The show music doesn’t always meet the bar he’s set for himself and others.”
Kidjo’s “Bando” is already out, and Billboard says it isn’t clear which project “Simulation” will land on. Quavo’s album arrived Oct. 2 as QRÖMELIFE, with Williams producing all 14 songs.
