Ms. Lauryn Hill brought the family to Denim Tears. On Tuesday (April 14), the brand posted a black-and-white portrait of Hill in its next collection, then widened the frame: the Spring/Summer 2026 campaign also stars her six children, Zion, Selah, Joshua (the singer YG Marley), John, Sara and Micah, Complex reported.
The first image shows Hill in a denim jacket, jeans and a hat printed with the brand’s cotton wreath, plus a button-up shirt and tinted shades. Cassius described the wreath as founder Tremaine Emory’s signature, an homage to the roots of Black American slavery in the South, and said the new pattern is smaller and more strategic than the oversized prints of past seasons. Hypebeast credits Liam MacRae as photographer, and Cassius also names Justin Sarinana.

The campaign launches the return of the DENIM TEARS DENIM program, which Hypebeast said is built around lineage and closeness. A new Jacquard Cotton Wreath finish runs across the trucker jacket, baggy denim, a bucket hat, a cap and a tote, joined by a faded “dirty wash” in light blue. The heavyweight 14 oz denim and the 13 oz Japanese selvedge are cut, sewn and washed in the USA. The collection is out April 17.

It lands in a busy stretch for Hill’s public style. Okayplayer noted she appeared at Milan Fashion Week for Bottega Veneta’s second show under Louise Trotter, and she drew controversy for performing at Kanye West’s April 3 SoFi Stadium show in Los Angeles. In a 2025 roundtable at Harvard, she summed up the idea behind a family portrait like this: “To me, community is huge. Curate a community, find a community.”
For Denim Tears, it is a reminder of how far the brand’s reach goes. Emory founded it in 2019, served as Supreme’s creative director from 2022 to 2023, and has worked with Virgil Abloh, Ye and Frank Ocean, per Highxtar. Putting Hill and her children in the clothes follows the same thread, with music and fashion treated as one story about Black American history.
Her year kept going from there. In June, she took BET’s first Living Legend Icon Award, and in September she joined Wyclef Jean for a surprise “Ready or Not” at KidSuper’s People’s Runway.
