Zara Larsson’s Midnight Sun: Girls Trip Has Robyn, PinkPantheress, Shakira and Tyla, and It’s Out May 1

Zara Larsson’s Instagram teaser started at a gas station. She walks in, flips through a rack of keychains and finds one with each guest’s name on it: Robyn, PinkPantheress, Shakira and more. The deluxe edition of Midnight Sun, Midnight Sun: Girls Trip, is due May 1 via Epic and Sommer House, Pitchfork reported.

The guest list is the story. Beyond the three headline names, The FADER counts 13 collaborators in all, every one of them a woman: Kehlani, JT, Margo XS, Emilia Mernes, Madison Beer, Bambii, Malibu, Eli and Helena Gao join Robyn, PinkPantheress, Shakira and Tyla, who already shared “She Did It Again” with Larsson. Larsson kept the tracklist under wraps.

The format borrows from Charli xcx’s Brat remix album. Larsson told fans the deluxe would reimagine the album’s songs with features and add new ones, and she has been open about the debt: “I was super inspired [...] specifically by the Charli remix album. I just thought that was such a fun thing to do.”

The Coachella preview

Larsson showed up on stage the weekend before the announcement. Billboard reported that she joined PinkPantheress in the Mojave tent during Coachella’s second weekend and performed the title track of Midnight Sun solo, before teasing that PinkPantheress could appear on the deluxe. The two already share “Stateside,” which hit No. 1 on both the Billboard Global 200 and Global Excl. U.S. charts in March after Alysa Liu skated to it in her exhibition performance at the Milano Cortina Winter Olympics, Billboard noted.

On Instagram, she captioned the teaser:

I’m so so so so so honored and excited for this … And you know what’s crazy? This is just the beginning of girls trip!!! Like HELLO This summer is gonna be madness.

Why it matters

Midnight Sun came out in September 2025, and by The FADER’s account summer was already over. The deluxe fixes the timing: “Stateside” and the Olympics moment landed in 2026, so the summer edition arrives with the song of the moment already attached. The guest list also spans scenes, from Latin pop (Emilia Mernes, Shakira) and UK club (PinkPantheress, Bambii) to Swedish dance (Robyn) and R&B (Kehlani, Tyla).
