Tinashe’s Popstar victory lap is going on the road. On Monday (Oct. 19) she announced THE SHOW MUST GO ON, an 18-date North American headlining tour that opens April 14 at The Bomb Factory in Dallas and closes May 15 at the Shrine Expo Hall in Los Angeles, per Pitchfork and Consequence. Artist presale starts Tuesday (Oct. 20) at 10 a.m. local time, with general sales beginning Wednesday (Oct. 21), per The FADER.

The route runs from Texas through Nashville, Atlanta, Washington, D.C. and Boston, then Denver, Salt Lake City, the Pacific Northwest and the Bay Area. It follows an album that has changed her year. Popstar debuted at No. 6 on the Billboard 200 dated Oct. 10 with 35,500 units, the highest-charting album of her career, as we reported at the time. A fan campaign, #UpliftTinashe, helped spark what The FADER calls “a wider cultural reappraisal of her entire alt-pop catalog,” and Pitchfork opened its report with a nod to it: “Operation: Uplift Tinashe has moved into the next stage.”

Before the headline dates comes a stadium. Tinashe opens the first two shows of Harry Styles’ Together, Together Tour at State Farm Stadium in Phoenix on April 2 and 3, and she has said she isn’t casual about support slots. She told Billboard in September that “I reached the point where I was like, ‘I’m not gonna open for anyone unless I feel like they really understand what I’m about.’” Styles passed that test, she said, and she is looking forward to the scale.

I never perform my songs in a stadium.

Closer to home, she plays the Brooklyn Paramount on Oct. 24 and the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles on Nov. 7, and this week joins Chappell Roan’s Super Graphic Spectacular benefit show in L.A., per Consequence and The FADER. Watch her “Crash Out” video below.
