A$AP Rocky may have tucked the release date for Don’t Be Dumb Disc 2 into his new video. In the clip for “Shroom Clouds,” which arrived Monday (Oct. 19), a New York police car sits crashed halfway up a brick building with “30 OCT 2026” painted on its side, a detail Rolling Stone and Billboard both caught.
Rocky directed the video with Aisultan Seitov and Pietro Biz Biasia. It opens in a hippie wonderland where he lounges in a yellow fur hat and a grandmother knitting on a park bench gets passed the blunt, then drops him back on a New York stoop as the song comes down. The cop car sits beside a mural of A$AP Yams, Billboard notes. Watch it below.
Oct. 30 is a Friday, the standard release day, and Rocky has a record with this kind of clue. HotNewHipHop recalls that before Don’t Be Dumb he wore a coat onstage that read “January 16, 2026,” which turned out to be the album’s release date. No outlet is treating the car as confirmation yet: Rolling Stone says a date for Disc 2 hasn’t been confirmed, and Billboard says it asked Rocky’s reps for details.

The song itself came out Friday (Oct. 16) with guests reggie and Jeremih, who takes the outro, and production from Sleeping Bear and Hector Delgado. Rocky first played it as “Mushroom Clouds” at a 4/20 Weedmaps event and at Governors Ball in 2021, then at Amazon Music Live in 2022. Rocky says the video has been just as long in the making.
I’ve been working on the video for years, and it’s like, perfected. You know me, man. Visually, I do not half-step.

As for what Disc 2 is, Rocky says it collects songs that never had a home. “Disc 2 is all of the songs that I dropped that those alter egos didn’t get an album to live on, because the next chapter is right after that,” he told Billboard in October. Complex reports it will include tracks fans know from leaks or performances, such as “Sundress” and “Babushka Boi,” plus “a couple of new singles that people probably never heard.” Rocky told Rolling Stone it is “an extension of Don’t Be Dumb,” and that what comes after it draws on “Denzel and Spike Lee, you know, Malcolm X.”
Don’t Be Dumb, his first album in nearly eight years, opened at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 in January with 123,000 equivalent units, per Billboard, and Complex thinks it has “a very good chance” at Grammy nominations in November. The rollout has already given us the “Helicopter$” video, an SNL musical-guest slot and an AWGE runway show in Paris. Rocky wrapped the European leg of his tour on Oct. 11 and plays Australia and New Zealand in December.
If the car is telling the truth, Disc 2 is 10 days away.
