Kai Cenat’s Streamer University is back, and this year it has a faculty that includes Lizzo and T-Pain. The 2026 session began Wednesday (July 15) and runs through July 20 at Hendrix College in Conway, Arkansas, Billboard reports, and the whole thing streams on Kai’s channels. Here’s the short version of how it works.
What is Streamer University?
It’s a creator bootcamp Cenat launched last year, billed as a “content creator event” that lets accepted students “learn from those with expertise in specific areas,” according to Complex. It isn’t formally accredited. The first edition, at the University of Akron in Ohio, won best streamed event at the 2025 Streamer Awards and clocked more than 20 million hours watched on Twitch, per Billboard. Cenat has said he wants it to run “for as long as I am alive.”
Who got in?
Cenat returned to livestreaming on Monday (July 6) and announced the roster on YouTube and Twitch. Rolling Stone says 120 students made the Class of 2026 after in-person auditions in New York, Atlanta and Los Angeles, with a 26-person staff. Students include former Disney star Skai Jackson, Love Island USA personality Jeremiah Brown, rapper-turned-streamer DreamDoll and singer Queen Naija, whose partner Clarence White also got in.

Lizzo is a professor. T-Pain is club director of the Musical Arts Department, and Duke Dennis is back as a professor. Skai Jackson’s reaction on X: “I can’t wait to meet everyone and be on a college campus.”
What’s the trailer about?
Cenat’s 2026 trailer, a *Harry Potter*-style train ride, dramatizes the dean’s rules. Two streamers talk about all the ways they plan to party, and Cenat shows up to kick them off. “No partying, no smoking, no drinking, no skipping class or breaking any of the campus rules,” he tells the rest of the students. The two sneak onto the roof of the train anyway.
What did Drake do?
At the opening assembly, Cenat played a video message from Drake. “Congratulations to everybody that got accepted,” the rapper told the students, per Billboard, and he said his OVO team had left gifts in their rooms. Soulja Boy, after asking to be let in, announced a competing “Rapper University,” according to Complex. Cenat also dropped a tongue-in-cheek diss track aimed at people who didn’t make the cut, and FunnyMike and Rakai posted one of their own.
Why it matters
Streamer University is Cenat’s attempt to turn the biggest Twitch following into an institution, and the music world keeps showing up: two Grammy winners are on the faculty and Drake dropped in by video. His reach keeps widening. In September, his Vivet label’s New York Fashion Week runway show drew more than 180,000 live viewers, and by October he was plotting a space stream.
The week of classes, clubs and events continues through July 20.
