It started as a spoof of the most annoying phone call there is. On Oct. 4, the two brands posted an Instagram Story in which CLOT founder Edison Chen video-calls Jackson Wang, says he’s stuck in Guangzhou and asks for 300 yuan to get back to Hong Kong. “You got me, right?” he says, Malay Mail reported, citing AsiaOne. Then he sends a photo with both brands’ logos and a QR code.
The code led to TEAM WANG design’s site and a poster that read “Jackson Wang invites you to support Edison Chen’s return,” with a progress bar that sat at 57% on Oct. 6. When fans pushed it to 100%, the collection unlocked. It arrived Sunday (Oct. 11) as “ON MY WAY,” the first collaboration between the two labels, according to Hypebeast.

The look is a case-file dossier. The whole line is built on “CASE NO.852,” named for Hong Kong’s dialing code, and the portrait T-shirts carry black-and-white photos of Wang and Chen next to their names, personal details and ID numbers. Logo tees add archive numbering, eyelet hardware and a strict black-and-white palette, and borrow from two earlier TEAM WANG design series, “SPARKLES” and “Invisible Man.” There is also a Tang-style jacket and mugs.
The centerpiece is a set of wearable portrait masks, which star in the campaign. Skaters, dancers, DJs, photographers, designers and young entrepreneurs wear the founders’ faces, a way of trying on the restless early-career mindset both men describe. The teaser’s caption laid out the idea.
We come from different places, making different choices. None of us has all the answers and we are all still finding our way forward.

The fan-funded bit isn’t a random gag. Wang has spent the past month making his fans the point. On Sept. 21 he signed a management deal with Jay-Z’s Roc Nation and released “Thank You,” a black-and-white video shot on an iPhone 18 Pro with 30 fans picked from applicants in more than 80 countries. “I don’t need a middle person or a filter standing between me and my fans,” he wrote in an Instagram note, per Complex. The pairing matches an old guard with a newer label. Chen founded CLOT in 2003, and Hypebeast notes it has worked with adidas, Nike, Supreme, sacai and fragment design. TEAM WANG design is Shanghai-based and was co-founded in 2020 by Wang and Henry Cheung, its CEO. Wang’s MAGICMAN 2 tour, meanwhile, starts a run of mainland China dates this month, per Bandwagon.
