“Patient Zero” isn’t giving up the top spot. Taylor Swift’s Encore single logs a third consecutive week at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 dated Oct. 24, Billboard reports, even as its streams fall 27% to 12.8 million in the Oct. 9–15 tracking week, per Luminate. The song ended Ella Langley’s record run when it debuted at No. 1 on the chart dated Oct. 10.

Radio audience rose 8% to 28.2 million, and Billboard counts 27,000 downloads sold (up 246%) and 151,000 physical copies sold (up 12%), helped by acoustic and piano versions and a 7-inch vinyl edition. It gives Swift a 52nd career week atop the Hot 100, which Billboard says makes her one of five acts to reach the equivalent of a year or more at No. 1 in the chart’s 68-year history.

Behind her, Ella Langley’s “Choosin’ Texas” holds at No. 2 after its record 24 weeks at No. 1, and it has a new record to share. The song spends a 26th week atop Streaming Songs with 19.8 million U.S. streams, down 5%, which ties Mariah Carey’s “All I Want for Christmas Is You” for the most weeks at No. 1 on that chart, Billboard notes. Only three songs have led it for 20 or more weeks since it began in 2013: those two and Lil Nas X’s “Old Town Road,” featuring Billy Ray Cyrus. Watch the official video for “Choosin’ Texas” below.

The rest of the top 10 is mostly settled. Stella Lefty’s “Boston” holds at No. 3 and Morgan Wallen’s “Been by Now” at No. 4, while ADÉLA’s “Nicole Kidman” climbs 9-6 to a new best. The newcomer is Dominic Fike, whose “Babydoll” jumps 13-10 for his first top 10. He released it in 2018, and it entered the Hot 100 in February on new traction on TikTok. Fike told Billboard Philippines in its July issue how the ride has felt:

The initial shock of it was very chill … and then I got to live out the reality of it happening, which was cool.

Across the Atlantic, “Patient Zero” is No. 1 on the U.K.’s Official Singles Chart for a third straight week (chart dated Oct. 17), Billboard says, Swift’s third U.K. chart-topper of 2026 after “Opalite” and “I Knew It, I Knew You.” A different “Babydoll,” by Cardiff-born Jamie Miller, is No. 2, with Ashe’s “Stop the Wedding!” at No. 3, per Complex.

On the albums chart, Republic and its group of labels hold eight of the Billboard 200’s top 10 for a third time, Billboard reports. It is the only label to have held at least eight since Luminate’s data began powering the chart in 1991, and parent Universal Music Group has nine. Swift’s The Life of a Showgirl leads for a 15th week; only Olivia Rodrigo’s you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love (No. 2) and Langley’s Dandelion (No. 4) sit outside Republic’s orbit.

Langley could own the Streaming Songs record outright by the end of the month, barring other challengers, but Billboard cautions that Carey generally adds to her count every holiday season, including four weeks at No. 1 in 2025.
