Harry Styles let the light in on Thursday night (Jan. 22), releasing “Aperture,” his first new music in more than 1,300 days, and the lead single from his fourth album, Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally. It’s due March 6, Rolling Stone reported, and it follows 2022’s Harry’s House, which won Album of the Year at the Grammys.
The comeback had been staged slowly. On Jan. 12, he teased new music with a cryptic website, WeBelongTogether.co, and a phone number that sent a voice note of him singing “we belong together,” Billboard recounted. Three days later, he posted the cover art, which shows him with his back to a disco ball hanging in midair, and the March 6 date. The song’s timing was announced Tuesday (Jan. 20) in a caption: “Aperture. Jan 23, 00:00 UK.”
The 12-track album is executive produced by longtime collaborator Kid Harpoon, who worked on all three of his earlier solo records. The tracklist arrived with the video: “Aperture” opens it, then come “American Girls,” “Ready, Steady, Go!,” “Are You Listening Yet?,” “Taste Back,” “The Waiting Game,” “Season 2 Weight Loss,” “Coming Up Roses,” “Pop,” “Dance No More,” “Paint By Numbers” and “Carla’s Song.” “There are no collabs on this album,” he told Capital Breakfast. “Just me.”

Styles is also treating the music differently. In a SiriusXM conversation with John Mayer, he said he’d played the record for friends, and realized that keeping everything under wraps until it’s done had made past albums “feel like a product.” He also defended the title’s punctuation: “Very important comma. I think it’s like … the comma is correct.”
As for the song, The FADER heard soft synth-pad chords and sweetly slapdash drums and bass that might remind listeners of Jamie xx or LCD Soundsystem, with Styles’ voice muffled and at a distance. The review was not kind about the result: it called the song “plodding” and wrote that it gestures toward ecstasy without reaching it. Billboard had earlier read a clock on his website, with its hands pointing to “Disco,” as a hint at the sound.
Live plans came right behind it: a seven-city residency called Together, Together, with 30 nights in New York, was announced soon after, per Billboard. By September he had extended it into 2027 stadiums, and he later talked to Thom Yorke about the Radiohead reunion.
