Future kept the guest list a secret until the album was in your hands. The Real Me, his 10th solo studio album, arrived Friday (July 10) with 22 tracks and no advance word on who's on it, two days after he posted the cover and tracklist to Instagram with a one-line tease: “Who u think featured on my album.”

It's his first solo studio album since 2022's I Never Liked You, per Complex, and it comes via Epic Records, led by the single “Radio.” XXL notes it's also his first solo release since 2024's Mixtape Pluto. The cover is as stripped-down as the title: a shirtless Future with freshly dyed blonde twists staring down the lens against a black backdrop, Billboard says.

What “the real me” means

Future explained the title himself in a video he posted to his Instagram Story on July 1, XXL reports. Over dinner, he talks about love, and the line that frames the whole record comes near the end of the clip.

I’m at a point in my life I’m being the real me … You suffer because you can’t even show the people who you really are. That’s why I’m making this album, The Real Me. Because I want people to know this is the real me.

The rollout was a slow burn. Future first asked fans to help name the project in January, then Spotify billboards reading T.R.M. appeared in June, before he revealed the title and the lead single on June 15, per XXL. Song titles include “California Girls,” “Fukk a Interview,” “Snow in Skyami” and “2018,” Billboard says.

Why it matters

Future is about to keep a streak alive. Billboard says he's chasing his 12th No. 1 on the Billboard 200 overall, and that his last nine solo albums, including the pair he made with Metro Boomin in 2024, We Don't Trust You and We Still Don't Trust You, all topped the chart. His first-week numbers will land with next week's chart.

The album also lands in a year when Future has been everywhere. He ended his feud with Drake in May to reunite on “Ran to Atlanta,” from ICEMAN, which peaked at No. 2 on the Hot 100, according to Billboard. He and Tyla debuted their World Cup anthem, “Game Time,” at the tournament's U.S. opening ceremony at SoFi Stadium on June 12, with Future in a red-and-white glittery varsity jacket, Complex notes.
