Four songs were enough. HABIBTI (FOMO), the deluxe edition of the album Drake released in May, is tracking for No. 2 on the next Billboard 200 after “Solar Eclipse,” “Cold Shoulder,” “Quebec” and “Classic Pt. 2” moved from his FOMO short film to streaming services on Oct. 2.
The trade sheet HITS Daily Double has the deluxe arriving at No. 2 on its own chart with 70,000 units for the week, behind Taylor Swift’s The Life of a Showgirl at 91,000. DJ Akademiks’ AkademiksTV account posted a projection of 70,500 units and the same spot on Billboard’s chart. Those are estimates: Billboard’s official numbers for the week ending Oct. 8 arrive with the chart dated Oct. 17.

No. 2 would match the album’s peak. HABIBTI debuted there in May with 114,000 units, the week Drake held the Billboard 200’s top three spots with ICEMAN and MAID OF HONOUR, a first in the chart’s history. ICEMAN is still hanging on, at No. 10 on the current chart.
The streams pointed this way early. The four songs drew about 8.96 million Spotify plays on their first full day, led by “Solar Eclipse” at roughly 3.3 million, according to the tracker Bars, as reported by Hypebeast. In the U.K., where the official chart covers the same week, “Solar Eclipse” entered at No. 22, “Quebec” at No. 27 and “Cold Shoulder” at No. 36, Billboard reports.
Why “Solar Eclipse” is the one
It’s the song fans begged for. Drake and Don Toliver slow down Ella Langley’s “Choosin’ Texas,” the record-breaking Hot 100 No. 1, into a slow jam, and the clip from FOMO became a standalone video on Oct. 6. In a Grammy Museum interview in Los Angeles that day, Toliver said the song was everything he’d wanted from working with Drake:
This record to me was just really everything I could possibly ever want. I grew up in [Comeback Season Drake]. So Far Gone, I love that album. It’s one of my favorites.

Drake had previewed the drop while gambling on a Kick stream, and hinted there’s more in the vault. “So, all the songs that you guys have been asking [about]. Well, not all of them. Enough of them are coming on Thursday. That’s it,” he said, per Billboard.
The Coachella rumor, and how solid it is
The other Drake headline this week is a rumor. On Oct. 2, HITS Daily Double’s HITS List described him as “said to be in the Coachella discussion.” Its Oct. 5 column added that Goldenvoice has struggled to lock down headliners, that talks with BTS reportedly fizzled, and that “the loudest rumors surround SZA, Radiohead and Drake.” Nothing has been announced. Coachella 2027 runs April 9–11 and 16–18 in Indio, Calif., and Drake last headlined in 2015, Complex notes.
A desert booking would fit a plan he has already announced: a 2027 world tour, with what he told CTV’s etalk would be “some big shows.” Before any of that, Billboard’s chart dated Oct. 17 settles where HABIBTI lands. The Grammys are another story: Drake reportedly kept all three of his 2026 albums out of the race.
