Lollapalooza’s 2026 poster is a pop summit with a Chicago anchor. On Tuesday (March 17), the festival named Charli xcx, Lorde, Jennie, Tate McRae, Olivia Dean, the xx, John Summit and the Smashing Pumpkins as headliners for July 30 through Aug. 2 in Grant Park.
Charli and Lorde, the “Girl, so confusing” remix partners, are working it out together at the top of the bill, in Billboard’s phrasing. Rolling Stone says the four-day festival will have more than 100 artists across eight stages, and that the hometown Smashing Pumpkins haven’t played a Lolla show in the U.S. since 1994.
Who’s playing
Below the headliners, the lineup is deliberately wide. Turnstile, Geese, Ethel Cain, Clipse, Little Simz, Wet Leg, Blood Orange and Freddie Gibbs share the poster with Zara Larsson, sombr, Lil Uzi Vert, aespa, 5 Seconds of Summer and the Chainsmokers.

The underground gets real placement, too. Nettspend, fakemink and Lucy Bedroque are all listed, along with Oklou, Ninajirachi, Water From Your Eyes and Jim Legxacy. The FADER’s advice is that if the top line veers a little too pop for you, the team at Lolla has you covered across genres.
Why it matters
The poster also shows how scarce some of these names are. For Charli, per Rolling Stone, Lolla is her only North American concert on the books for 2026, apart from the Reading and Leeds festivals in the U.K. She has spent much of the last two years on the road behind Brat and this year is leaning into film work, including her own movie The Moment and the score for Emerald Fennell’s Wuthering Heights.
Lorde and McRae are also headlining Osheaga in Montreal on the same weekend, and Lorde has Governors Ball and All Things Go on her summer itinerary, so Chicago is one stop in a busy festival run for both. It lands two days after Lollapalooza Argentina closed with Sabrina Carpenter, who headlined the U.S. festival in 2025 alongside Olivia Rodrigo, Tyler, the Creator, A$AP Rocky, Korn and Doechii.
Lolla also announced Tuesday that 2026 introduces “premium hospitality experiences” for the first time, including Northside Suites, Suites at Perry’s and the Speakeasy Lounge. Day-by-day lineups have yet to be released; Lollapalooza told The FADER in an emailed statement that they’re coming soon.
